NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS
Library Media Center
Instructor: Ms. Ndiaye
WELCOME TO THE
GODWIN MIDDLE SCHOOL LIBRARY
Librarian -
Ms. Ndiaye
Library Media Assistant -
Ms. Walters
The Godwin Middle School Library offers a wide selection of books and materials to meet student research needs as well as pleasure reading. A video library is available for teacher use only. Students are welcomed in the library individually to use materials in-house or to check out materials. Teachers may sign up for research time or for classroom book check-out. An in-library computer lab provides word processing, internet usage, and other programs for classes or individual use.

Internet Use: The internet is available through the library computers. All “acceptable use” policies established by Prince William county Schools as stated in the county Code of Behavior apply to Internet usage in Godwin’s library. Students will be removed from the computer lab that are e-mailing or using inappropriate web sites.
HOURS:  8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Check Out Policy: Students may have up to 2 books and 1 magazine checked out at a time.  Circulating books and magazines may be lent to students for a 2 week period and may be renewed.  Some reference books may be checked out overnight, but most reference materials are restricted to use in the library.

Lost/Overdue Books: The library does not charge a fine for overdue materials. If materials are lost, prompt payment is expected. All overdue books must be returned or paid for before a student may check out another book.
